I can't view any videos on my laptop.

I run Windows 7, ISP is Wild Blue Satellite (5mbps), Linksys E900 router (bought a new one), Foxfire browser (I also tried with Chrome and IE with no luck). Adobe Flash is updated. All I get in a black rectangular box with no status bar, no twirly thingy to indicate loading. Sometimes I get "There Has Been An Error, please try again later." I CAN watch vids on my iPad!!! Brought laptop into a technician in town and he was able to view vids with his internet connection. I'm out of things to try. Can anyone out there help me?

Hi Bob,

Disabling flash acceleration worked for YouTube, YAY, however, other sites that have vids do not play, no audio either. any other advice would be greatly appreciated. What is esnips bomb?

I can't comment on un-named sites. My comment on esnips was that a member had all other sites working and then this one site bombed out. When I looked at first it worked and later it doesn't work for me as well.

-> Give the forum some details if you need folk to try out a site or video.

Codecs

Do you have all the required video codecs? If you have never installed any, I suggest you download a good codec pack such as K-Lite.

Download the AVI codec pack and/or download VLC Player and see what happens.
