AVG AVAST COMODO SPYWAREBLASTER, oh my!

Hey, I have been a user of many different systems and setups over the years, but its been a couple years since I got or built a computer.

I have always used:

AVG passively on, autoscanning once a week
Spyware Blaster (using Firefox)
Spybot S&D for spot problems

I loved this combnation, but I want Chrome back, and the only thing I can see to caver that is :
AVG or AVAST, autoscanning 1/week
Comodo Firewall D+

Are there any alternatives I'm missing? I kinda hate Comodo, but I hate mucking out my HDD even more. sad

Avast AV and Comodo Firewall is a GREAT combo!

I've use this combo for many years now with very satisfactory results.

Have you seen and/or taken a look at "How to Install Comodo Firewall"? confused It seems to be a good beginning.

I would add that in the instance of using Avast AV and Comodo Firewall together as I am, one does need to tell each of them NOT to watch the other. I've had the both of them conflict without telling them to ignore each other in their respective "Exclude" sections.
