allowed a bit of malware to get itself installed on your computer.

You haven't mentioned what malware prevention you have been using but what you NEED is a GOOD anti-virus, and a couple of GOOD anti-malware apps.

I would recommend that you download the following and run them and I would further suggest that you do so in SAFE MODE.

1. RKILL
2. MalwareBytes
3. Super Anti-Spyware
4. Dr. Web CureIt

RKILL is available at this link - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic308364.html - and that page also links you to the other three anti-malware apps. I strongly recommend that you READ the entire page so you don't get ecxcited about possible warnings when you run the utilities.

I have Kaspersky PURE, which is supposed to be a top of the line anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-everything package.Strangely enough, Kaspersky itself has one of those darn coupons.

If you do not use them, you will not get to where you need to be to fix this. It is beyond the point of blaming Kaspersky or any another a/v vendor for the failure to block this behavior.

No a/v is 100% Reason is, a/v's are strongly biased towards definition-based detection. While some have heuristic detection, a new malware variant can, and does, slip by an a/v.

There is no a/v that will provide 100% protection against new and unknown malware.

If you can find the file(s) responsible for this, submit them here to 40+ virus scanners: https://www.virustotal.com/ Upload the file(s) found and scan.

Pop-up Coupons

I just figured out how to stop the coupons. I simply disabled my yahoo toolbar. I was looking for a way to stop them and was just trying different things and that worked. I am looking for a way to turn off that feature in the toolbar. That is where they are coming from. Go Figure!!!
