Computer help forum: Blue screen crash - any help guys/?

But I have no idea what do you mean by "shows two checkboxes in the middle. Set "Automatically restart" to off"? I don't see anything like that. But a complete blue screen which lasts for 3 seconds then my PC getting restarted.

Could you please show me some light?

Have you tried booting into safe mode? From what you have said, IF it gets to the Windows screen prior to the blue screen issue, I would assume there would be enough time to at least try to boot to safe mode and see if the system runs there.

He stated something about "... in the second screen ..." and apparently you got lost looking for the second screen rather than reading the info and finding it.

Configure Dump File Settings in "Startup and Recovery"

The FIRST graphic beneath that is screen one and the second graphic (step 5) is screen two and it "shows two checkboxes in the middle. Set "Automatically restart" to off, so you have more time to view the blue screen". Set "write event to system log" to on, so you can view the details of the event in the event viewer afterwards. " exactly as he indicated.

Following his instructions allows YOU to give us more information to work with as there are HUNDREDS of different Blue Screen events and we do not know which yours is.

now we are only waiting for that additional information you can now provide about the specifics for the BSOD.

How do I attache the event log or the minidump file along with my post so that you could get a look at the problem? Any help?

But be aware I've never found a minidump file to be useful in over a decade. I usually find the issue with the story and more. Mostly I find old machines that need the basic cleaning, BAD CAPS, malware and more.

But the minidump is only useful when we are troubleshooting those drivers we wrote in the office. Are you writing your own drivers?
