Computer help forum: INI File

INI File

I have windows xp pro.
When I start my computer it takes me to where it says
Safe mode
Safe mode with internet
Command Prompt
Last good configuration

Than it goes to where the windows want to start,but the blue marquee bar moves for about 10 seconds and takes me to a message on a black screen that says
Invalid BOOT.INI File.
Than it it goes back to the safe mode page again and starts all over again.

Can some one please let me know what to do,to fix this problem

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330184 tells what to do. You'll need your XP installation CD. Hopefully you still have it.

I forgot to mention that under where it says Invalid BOOT.INI File
It says Booting from c:windows
