how to reconnect front panel wires for emachines t5048

Hi am using emachines t5048 desktop and I resently unplug the front panel wires and now want to reconnect in the conrect order, I have tired reconnecting them my self by looking on the motherboard. The computer came on but the powerbutton indicator light and the hard drive acess indicator light is not showing. I reinstall a new BIOS battery because the pervious battery was faulty to the system. After the new BIOS battery installment, I started the system again but the indication lights stated earlier did not show.

I need to no how to connect the wires for the front panel conrrectly, if you can provide a diagram or picture of how it should be that wouls be very helpful. Thanks

This is all I can find. If it's your board, look on page 38 for the front panel connectors.

Two methods come to mind:

1) the manual
2) silk-screened on mtrbd.

If using manual(you do have one) or visit the support website for your model#. get the manual or HTML display and print it out. Once done, use that as a guide to reconnect wiring.

If silk-screened on the mtrbd. small printing will note what's what. Install to what makes itself proper. Also, the leads themselves are labeled(sometimes!).

*NOTE* For LEDs to light, the correct wiring for +/- leads be done, otherwise reverse leads. Just be sure you have the correct leads, sometimes you have to follow back to source.
