Dell Win 7 wlan card - wireless connections problem

I've been working on one of my users Dell E4310 laptops for several days now and am unable to see or create any new wireless connections. Thus far I have swapped out the wlan card with another known working machine and had the mother board replaced. I can turn on the switch on and the wireless light on the top turns blue and I can see the wireless card in Device manager (have uninstalled and then scanned for changes) but I'm still unable to see or create any wireless connections. Can anyone provide any other ideas as to what can resolve this aside from a complete Win 7 re-image...? Would the re-image even resolve the issue...?

You would call Dell's support and let them cure it.

There is not enough detail so I'll share the most common 2 dell fixes I use for this are:
1. Uninstall Norton and Kapersky.
2. Install Dell's Quickset.

have spent hours with Dell Support

Thanks for the suggestion Bob, however I've speant hours with Dell Support - they were the ones that sent the tech to me site. I'm just looking to see if anyone has any other suggestions or ideas that I may have not thought of yet to keep me from having to re-image the O/S. I only have one A/V installed and it's Trend which is the Company's manditory and exclusive A/V product. I can however check to see if Dells quick set is installed and remove it - thanks again Bob...!

Dell's quickset does something important. Uninstall it and on many Dell's you see what you are complaining about.

I'm a little mystified how your company would allow more than say, ONE HOUR to fix this. Your salary after a few hours would be more than the machine is worth.

Something's not being told here. Maybe there is some engineer that is doing IT work and has fallen into the "I know this can be fixed if I spend enough time" trap.

You see, the expectations are extremely high arouund here. we are all supposed to be superman/woman and be able to do a thousand things at the same time but even if we manage to meet those expectations... we still don;t do enough. Anyway, if you were me and can't seem to find Dell quickset installed on the computer, where would you suggest that I look if it's not showing up in the standard places like programs and features or windows features. I would welcome your advice. Thank you...!

If you can't find Dell's Quickset, then off to dell.com, enter in the service tag to go get it.
