Why does CNET Download app opens multiple tabs?

I've removed and re-downloaded the CNET software monitoring/downloading app that tracks my loaded software.
On my desktop (an HP Pavillion P6000 series) when I try to download and get an update for any outdated software, the CNET app opens tabs in a never-ending loop.
I do not have this problem with my Sony Vaio.
Anyone out there have an answer?

I can't guess what app this is. Tech Tracker has its own forum so I guess it's not that.

I usually get pinged when I write that I don't use Tech Tracker. Can't figure why anyone would use it.
