I have a Samsung RV711 windows 7 laptop, i came home and got on the computer and noticed that everything that should be playing with a flash plugin said missing plugin, so i restarted my laptop.

logged in with password, told me it didnt recognize the profile.

tried logging in again, said preparing profile for about a minute or less, then i had an old win98 looking background with the message 'location not available' -C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network. Check, yadda yadda,

And I pop up at the bottom of the screen saying 'Failed to connect to a windows service' Windows could not connect to the Systems Event Notification Service service. yadda yadda

Does anyone know what this means, I restarted and it started up normal the next time.

Let's hope you have backups and start scanning per Grif's advice. But first, always have a SPARE ADMIN account.

i back up my computer weekly, so no worries there, but i will create another admin account, havent done that, so thanks
