Webcam problem!

I currently own a Microsoft VX-3000 Lifecam. I've had it for a while, but in the last six months something weird has been happening to it. Basically, as soon as I start it up for sites like Tinychat or Chatroulette, for example, it just freezes at the first frame it displays and doesn't change at all after that. The weird part it, though, that it works fine on Skype and only Skype, but not on the Lifecam software itself. So far, I've tried plugging it/unplugging it (obviously) as well as getting rid of the Lifecam software and reinstalling it. I've tried Googling the problem but I've found nothing that can help.
