Building first gaming computer, input/help wanted

While I have built a some normal mid-size computers before for everyday use, I have never actually built a gaming computer before, thusly I have been kind iffy on what parts I should be putting into it. I've never had to deal with high-end performance parts before so I was wondering if I could get input on the components I choose to put in it and general advice. All the parts listed I got off of Newegg, and I know that with some searching I could find them cheaper and I plan to, but I used Newegg for the sake of convenience. If it isn't obvious, I have a rather generous budget as well, but I'd like to not exceed the $1800 mark I have now. I am willing to forgoe the monitor though and using a television as a monitor to save money for a little while or not getting the SDD, which I only really plan to put the OS and important files on.

My biggest question is that the video card I have chosen says that it is PCI Express 3.0, and I didn't know if the motherboard I chose can support it.

The mobo specs show pci-e 3 slots.

Gpu......the 680 might be tough card to find.

You could save a bit on the Video card if you dont mind the eVGA GF GTX580 1.5GB GDDR5 PCI-E Video Card

Since Ive switched to an HD projector I'll never go back to LCDs. I have a 42inch LCD monitor and I'ts never even on lol. I love playing on my wall with characters bigger than myself!
