I haven't tried anything yet, my WiFi may well do the trick but I don't know enough to know if it will.
I have a WiFi modem in the house which I use all of the time. I have a shop which is 175 feet from the house and want to listen to internet radio in the shop. The building is metal, but I have no problem at all running an antenna of sorts outside facing the house. I am game for trying anything except running a wire to the shop from the house, that would be more trouble than I am willing to deal with (concrete driveways, etc.) My existing modem is a standard DSL one supplied by Frontier Communications, it's a Siemans SE567. I live in the country so there will not be a lot of modems competing for the signal.
I don't even know if I can replace the Frontier modem with another with no ill effects. What would I need on both ends to accomplish this feat??
