connectivity issue with logitech m235

Hello.
I bought this wireless mouse and i cannot set it up on my netbook running windows xp.
I follwed the instructions from Logitech's site but i can't figure out how to set up the unifying software. Te mouse works perfect on windows 7 and ubuntu.
