Need expert help purchasing a good laptop

First of all Thank You to anyone who is willing to help me here. I am a fairly computer savvy individual but looking for some expert help.

I have narrowed down my choices to an Alienware M14X and an Asus N55SF. I realize these computers are very different but they both have specific things i am looking for: Dedicated Graphics card, High Resolution Screen, i7 processors, etc. All i want is personal advice as to advantages and disadvantages of each and what you think the best decision would be.

If there is any information that I did not provide that could be helpful please let me know, Thanks

Both appear to be gamer laptops.

The only downside to these is the shorter life spans. Gamers tend to be hard on machines and then we see 300 cycle batteries so just like most laptops you replace the battery 18 to 24 months, keep the vents clean and after year 2 be ready to replace or repair.

Beyond that, these are very powerful machines you use when you can't go with a desktop.

Thanks a lot for getting back to me. I have done a little more research and discovered a brand called Sager and ive become fairly familiar with it but i was wondering if you or anyone else could attest for the quality of their laptops.

But that name burned us badly many years ago. They had no spare parts just 1 year after they offered the laptops. Maybe they retreated to other countries but I would not consider that name.
