Well Newsmax seems OK. My Firefox browser's web security add-on WOT, (Web of Trust), gives me a green light for http://www.newsmax.com/ so it is not a suspicious web site.
And when I visited the web site, I got no pop ups or anything.
Can we go through the steps for when this message appears? Correct anything that I have got wrong.
1] You use Internet Explorer to visit web sites and manage your web-based email at Yahoo Mail.
2] When you sign in to Yahoo Mail in your browser you see a list of unread emails in your Inbox.
3] You see an email from Newsmax which is their periodic newsletter email.
4] When you click that entry in the Inbox the email displays in a window within Yahoo Mail.
5] Then you see this pop up;
Do you want to open or save
default_179583-1js 545 bytes from cdn.fastclick.net?
Open | Save | Cancel.
6] Do you see this pop up in Yahoo Mail or do you see it when you click a link in the email and another browser window opens at the Newsmax web site?
7] Does this pop up have any more details on it?
I see from http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120421012227AAIwnjq that a "Resolved" question was asked which is very similar to yours. Resolved because the questioner found some malware on their system.
I know you say you have AVG and SAS but I would ask if you have updated each and run full scans with each recently? If not, could you do that please? Scan with each, one after the other.
Then download and install the other utility I suggested, Malwarebytes Antimalware and run a full scan with that as well.
