I used PC Mover to migrate the programs and files from a 4 year old computer running Win7 to a new Lenovo running Win7. The first migration failed, but PC Mover recognized that and allowed me to try again. The second attempt worked, except MS Publisher shows up on the shortcuts but will not work. It also won't uninstall. I had my "boss"/friend who is a computer expert look at it and he discovered many registry errors. Malwarebytes won't uninstall either. PC Mover did not remove the partial files, etc. that it moved in the failed migration attempt, and now they are screwing up my registry, and it is more than can be fixed manually. I need to know if there is a registry fix program that could fix a problem of this magnitude. My friend, who is a computer purist, wants to wipe it clean, install Win7 and Office 10 and then let me transfer and download everything else on the computer. Even though I am lucky to have this option, I would rather not have to go through all that. That is why I bought PC Mover to begin with. We did use PC Mover to migrate at work, and it worked well. I would welcome any suggestions.
