My Acer desktop keeps losing the monitor signal

My acer starting doing this over a week ago. I turn the computer on and all is good. After 5mins or so the screen goings blank like I turned off the monitor. If I turn off the monitor and then turn it back on the screen comes back; sometimes for a 10 mins sometimes for 10 seconds and it is getting worse. I changed out the video card, monitor, and monitor cord but it didn't help. This acer is a desktop and I bought it new a couple of year ago.

ANY suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you tried another monitor to prove if it is the monitor or a system issue?

Yes I have tried hooking up another monitor that was in use (so I knew it worked) that was on a family members computer. I put in a new video card, checked the plug, and changed out monitor cords.

If this means that it is a system issue what do you think I should do next?
