It came with the 2.4 P4 HT and appears to be in the Northwood class.

Some have changed this but only inside the same class. There is a BIG concern that the mother power "chips" would buckle if you went with the CPUs that need 20+ more Watts.
This is why I'd never exceed 3GHz on this one.

There are several Pentium 4 socket 478 chips on eBay with the majority being less than $30 including shipping. Even though thats not expensive I hate to mistakenly buy the wrong one.

You are saying not to increase the wattage to more than 20 watts above what the original used. In my case it was 66.2 TDP so you are saying not to use one that goes above 86.2 TDP
If this is what you were saying I just misunderstood. I thought you were saying one that didn't use over 20 watts total which I didn't see any on there that low.
Is this what you were saying?

That's 20 Watts from a power system on the motherboard and NOT the power supply you may think about.
The 2.4GHz is 66.2 Watts TDP and let's not go past 10% of that to be safe. Nothing but 3 models would be safe.
