How's it going guys.
Well to start things off, new built computer running just fine for a month. I decided to get greedy and put my 42' westinghouse tv as my monitor. As soon as I did that, about 15 minutes later my computer just shut down and went into boot loop.
I took it to Microcenter and they had no problems with the computer running, I took my computer back to my house and tried it on another monitor and it worked fine.
At this point I was thinking that it was the Westinghouse TV(I'm a newb with computers)
But then I took my TV home and tried it with the computer and it worked just fine.
I recently tried to take my computer back to school and the computer started up and said "Power Surge on Hub Port" or "USB device has exceeded the power limits of it's hub port"
My computer shut down right after that and would not start up.
I took my new computer back to my house and it worked just fine.
So then I took my older computer, with the same powersupply voltage to my dorm and it worked.
Cliffs:
-Computer doesnt work at dorm, but works at home
-Only had this problem after trying to plug in my TV as my computer
Thanks guys, hopefully you don't strain your eyes reading that!
