NVIDIA update affects games screen size

Hi! I have a Laptop a Toshiba Qosmio 870 model. I have 8 gig of ram. The laptop has i7 intel NVIDIA 360 GeForce GPU.. I went to the NVIDIA website to download the latest update. The update worked okay except for some of my PC games. When I go to play the games they do not show up as full screen after the update. The game shows a black band on each side, so I after roll back the driver to make my games to show up as full screen again. The laptop has a 18.4 screen size to,1680x945. What would cause the update to cause this?

by rolling back to a previous driver. As for what caused the change on your particular machine, that's a question for those who wrote the driver. What you might want to do is post the issue you experienced with Nvidia support. The more folks who report the issue, the better the likelihood it will be addressed in later driver releases.
