Had a rootkit virus, 3 different scanners say it's gone, but

I had a rootkit, Avast found it. It was fake AV ransomware, kept telling me if i would send 84$ all my problems would be fixed. One of the things it did was make my CPU usage run very high, between 70 and 100%. We cleaned it with Combofix. Subsequent scans with Avast, Clamwin, and Kaspersky all say my machine is clean. However, I am still having times when my CPU usage is very high, again between 70 and 100%.
Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated :-)
