I recently had my hard drive replaced. Since that time I have had a problem with my one program. I downloaded it again from web but it says it is trial and they want me to buy it again or else have a registration code from when I bought it 2 years ago. I have no idea how to find my code. What can I do? I cannot afford to buy this again since I am on a fixed income and retired.

Find the old one (in your mail or on your backup or whereever you stored it) or buy a new one or don't use the program any more. Those seem your only options, apart from contacting the maker, explain the situation and hope they are willing to give you a free code or find yours in their records.
Better store that code carefully. You'll need it again if your PC goes south and you have to buy a new one.
It's like buying and losing anything else. You can't really expect, say, Apple to give you a new iPod if you lose the old one. Or Ford to give you a free key to your car if you lose yours. Or this company to give you a free registration code.

Not much help for you this time, but I created an Excel worksheet where the product key/registration code for every program I bought is listed (I do this straight away). Of course, this worksheet and everything else is regularly backed up outside the desktop in case the drive is replaced or there is a computer failure.

I found the link to where I bought this software and contacted them. They provided my order number but they will not honor my previous purchase of their software. They say it has been over 6/12 months and I will need to buy it again. What a ripoff!!!! You think they would do a one time courtesy for people. I guess I am SOL as I cannot afford this again. I have had other companies that I bought software online from even back before I bought this and they have provided me with my code. I believe any reputable company should look out for their customers.

I looked up Digital River and see they are an ecommerce enabler. They don't appear to sell any application but enable developers to market the products the developer wants to sell.
As Digital River does not own the rights to these apps, it's proper for Digital River to not hand out keys or such.
I'm sure as a developer of apps and content you would not want your ecommerce enabler handing out codes.
This means you need to figure out who the app's developer was and ask them for the code.
