Computer shuts down after few minutes. Help plz.

Ok I have a computer that started shutting down after it was on for a few minutes. Sometimes as the windows screen was booting and might go as far as after the desktop loaded. I decided to just reload windows and now after it goes starts installing it still shuts down after a few minutes. Here is what i have tried. I have some troubleshooting expertise but im floored here.
I have changed PSU.
Moved and tried diff ram.
reset cpu and heatsink(no overheating).
Tried different dvd rom.
unplugged all usb and sound headers on board.
cleared cmos and yanked battery.
Pulled out everything and reseated it MB included.
Im outta ideas any help is appreciated.

amd 64 x2 1.8ghz i believe
ECS Geforce 6100sm-m MB
Adata ddr2 800 2x512
Lite on Dvd burner
380w psu
80gig sata WD blue HDD
Its less than two years old home built.

Next question: What O/S are you currently using; if it's Vista, it'll take more than 1GB of RAM to load properly.

Also you might want to check to see if your HDD is full (or within 10% of capacity).

I can't find where you wiped off the old heat sink compound and applied fresh compound. Also this machine is fairly well known for troubles. You should also wipe off the compound and refresh compound on all other chips that have heat sinks.

Those that use CPU heat meters tend to think it's not heat. Let's say it's not. I'd change the motherboard next.
