How to listen with headphones instead of speakers?

We have Compaq Deskpro PCs at work, and I would like to listen to internet radio without bothering my co-workers. However, I cannot seem to figure out how to use the headphones! There are no external speakers to unplug. There is no sound in either ear when headphones are plugged into the headphone jack on the CD drive.

Is this possible?

You can use the speaker jack but that may
require a pre-amplifer.

Also check your speakers some models have head phone.

Thanks, Mark! Worked like a charm. Not sure why I did not think of this in the first place.

I checked the Control Panel and unfortunately there was not an option for speakers/headphones.

Can't really expect much from a work PC, I guess.

In addition to the other good suggestions....Sometimes the speaker settings have to be adjusted in the Control Panel. Open the Control Panel, double click on the "Sounds" or "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon. When that loads, click on the "Volume" tab. (If it's there) If there is a Speakers" section in this window, click on the "Advanced" tab and change the "Speaker setup" options to "Stereo Headphones".
