"Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at".....

I have an issue with my computer. When i attempt to go to certain sites i will receive a "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.espn.com." error. I have tried changing proxy settings for network but still have the same problem. Ive experimented with different browsers and also used other friends internet but always have the same issue. Ive found a temporary fix though. If i restart my computer and go to the site as soon as I log on i have no issues. BUT once i start surfing the web and let a little time go by I start receiving the error again. Its totally random on what sites it picks to give the error with, but always happens to the same sites. Ive scoured the web and found I am not the only one with this problem. BUT no one seems to have the correct solution. Its very irritating and any advice would be highly appreciated. Thank You.

Could be just a software setting. Either firewall or some security software, but since there is no clue as to what those may be, perhaps some info would help.

hi what i would do is press start in windows then goto all programs and then to mozilla firefox and start firefox in safe mode and reset every thing in firefox that should help ok as i had the same problem with what you had here ok

about these 'proxy server settings'.

Are you using a proxy? If so, what happens if you use the normal ISP connection?

And as has already been suggested, don't forget those words in red. Your system specs and other related information gives us more details.
