Ghost backup question

In backing up my computer's c: drive to my portable hard drive(f:),I'm confused by afterwards Ghost showing that my backup was to D: Drive(+not to F:???).

Everything in Ghost otherwise told me that the backup was successful.
what's going on?

If I boot off the CD, drive letters can be re-arranged from what the boot from my Windows hard drive will show.

Nothing broken, just how it works.
