Missing File Error

Can someone please help me out with this?

I'm running Windows XP on a Sony VAOI desktop.

I routinely receive an error message on my screen that simply reads:

Error: Could not find the file "flash.ocx."

It usually happens when I have been away from the PC for a while and my screen goes into screen-saver mode.

I normally just close the window and it appears that my PC continues to run fine. Put another way, I can't find any other adverse effect to my system's performance other than the annoying error message that I have to close.

Can anyone tell me how to correct this?

Sounds like Flash is corrupted or missing. You might try to reinstall Flash Player.
