Computer help forum: unable to view everything on a page

unable to view everything on a page

When i use my computer and go to a site and view the page i am not seeing everything thats on the page. When i use a different computer i see content that's hidden on my computer.When i go to familiar sites, content that i was able to see have become hidden. Like icons that use to be next to the text are no longer visiable.I have to move my mouse around the page to find the hidden content. Can someone explian why this happening and what can i do to fix it.

Your description wasn't too clear to me- "When i use a different computer i see content that's hidden on my computer"???

Can you post a screen shot here so we can see what you are talking about?

adjust your screen resolution

If your screen resolution is set too small you will have this problem. Try right clicking on your desktop and clicking on your video settings and find the little slider bar on there that lets you set your screen size. If its 640X480 or 800 X 600 that is way too small. You want at least 1024x768 or so. If you have an LCD screen you should set it to it's maximum resolution (called "native resolution"). If the icon and text are too small after you do this you can look in your preferences and set the Icons to Large and the font size to large also.
