downloading large files cause server connection time out....

I can't download anything large file that take more than 20 minutes before the connection time out. I've checked to see if this happens with another computer on the same internet connection and the answer is no....does that sound like a firewall issue or possibly my virus protector issue. ...we like to keep all responses here on the forums so all members can learn from the questions asked.

Unfortunately, you've not told us the type of internet connection you're using.. Cable, DSL, Dial-up, something else?

If you're using a router to connect with, and since you're using Vista on your machine, there are a number of modem/routers that need updated firmware to correctly work with Vista.. I'll suggest visiting the router or modem manufacturer's website and downloading, then installing the most recent firmware for your hardware..
