is there a simple solution to get past windows password?

my brother got a (used)dell laptop but can't get in- doesnt have the password. getting into the setup is no problem, but it doesnt affect the windows password, which i suppose is 'supervisor'protected. is there a simple solution?

Such information would be helpful..

Of course, your brother could easily contact the person from whom he "got" the used computer and obtain the password.. Why has he not done so?

Here is a link to a program that you can use to get that password.

http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/

Just burn it to a cd and boot from it and it will find the pass word. Everyone says it works great but I have never tried it myself.

Just look at NTPASSWD and we're done.

Why bother with crack?
