in IE7 to show the history in a pane on the left side. But that's OS-independent, as far as I know, so should work both in XP and in Vista.
Or doesn't it?
Or do you mean something else?

Get Ccleaner right here at Cnet, the instructions given to you here on how to clean the browsing history through IE TOOLS IS CORRECT.

But Ccleaner does a better job because there are several TEMP folders in Windows. Located in different places such as your profile, roaming profile, administrative profile and even under the Windows folder itself.

Ccleaner looks at most (no application is 100 percent perfect) TEMP files and folders and cleans a lot more then IE Delete Tab.

One thing though, since I test applications, I know for a fact that Windows does store some temp info in the Register.

Ccleaner will not completely clean the Register even though it has an option for it.
You can use it and it is easy to use, it even gives you an option to back up the register before it cleans it.

So if you run Ccleaner and log off or turn your pc/laptop off, and you start Ccleaner again and do a scan you will see some info return.

That is because Windows recreates the entry from the register.

But overal Ccleaner is more comprehensive then just using the IE TOOLS GENERAL TAB - DELETE ALL HISTORY.
