FN Key Stuck ON

I have a Gateway laptop (Model MT6821) running Vista. Suddenly the FN is stuck on and I'm not sure what triggered this. I also can't figure out how to turn it off. I've read suggestions to use the FN & NumLock key but this model does not have a NumLock key. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Fn key stuck Gateway Vista

I have a Gateway 6840. My Fn key has done the same thing. Did you ever find out what to do to fix it?
