Adding Flash Player to Firefox

I have two browsers: IE and Firefox. Of course, I'd prefer Firefox for the usual reasons, but only IE lets me install and run Adobe Flash/Shock Player. When I try it with Firefox, it sometimes installs, but then says I must close Firefox to run it, but it doesn't run it no matter what I do.
Any suggestions?

After the uninstaller has finished.

Using "FF"......visit the Adobe site...d/l and install flash.

Verify it functions using FF.

Now use "IE"....repeat d/l..install..verify.

Flash Installs Differently For Each Browser

Flash installs while online when using Internet Explorer.. Flash requires a download, then install of the plugin for Firefox.

But first, make sure to uninstall any old versions of the "Adobe Flash Player Plugin" in the "Add/Remove Programs" section of the Control Panel. Or you could start from scratch by uninstalling all OLD Flash players using the Flash Uninstaller from the link below:

After uninstalling the old and while using Internet Explorer, visit the link below and follow the prompts to install Flash while online.

Once that's done...

After uninstalling the old and while using Firefox, visit the link below, click on the link, then download and save the Flash installer to your desktop.. Once it's there, close all browsers, then run the installer.. When you once again open Firefox, Flash will be installed.
