help!!!!!!!!

Hi everybody, I've got a little situation here
Couple of days ago my brother was messing system configuration utility and apparently he made changes in startup selection; before it was on selective startup,now it's on normal startup. That's when all the problems started: the computer doesn't recognize anything connected through USB port; doesn't recognize printer, doesn't play music, telling me that there's no audio device, when i go to device manager, it doesn't list any items...
what should i do?? how bid of a problem is this??
any advice is appreciated!

was he "messing" with?

Many offer a method to simply undo changes made.

Without knowing how he made the changes the best we can advise is to try a fresh installation.

My Son did exactly the same thing on my old PC, the which ran Windows ME,I had one heck of a job to sort it out and used four boxes of floppies to recover data,I then set up as Administrator after a full reinstall,and the only way he could then get on was if I was there setting him up, all other aspects were sealed behind a password taken from a now defunct section of the Scriptures known as the Apocrypha,I use the same method now on all computers, as the passwords cannot be hacked by the user, and no software can be downloaded without Admin Authority.
I would suggest that you do likewise,password protect as an Administrator, using such a system as I have,all files are inaccessable without the password,and only programmes listed will run.
