Best utilities program for temperature monitoring

I have Intel Desktop Utilities running right now which came with my motherboard (D975XBX2) but was wondering if there are any that monitor temperatures for northbridge/southbridge/graphics card zones. I do some PC gaming and wanted to know what the best option would be for extra cooling. Newegg has a good slot case cooler-

would that be enough? My CPU temp and RAM temps are <40 C under normal operating load, but want to know what my graphics temp is, and if necessary, north/south bridges.

I use Motherboard Monitor, it works great. It has the ability to track many different sensors on your Motherboard and display them in the tray while still using very little resources.

Try PC Wizard 2008

Click on the processor icon and then minimize the application...it should place the CPU Speed and Temps in the upper right hand corner of the monitor.

PC Wizard 08

I installed it and I'm using that now instead of Intel Desktop Utilities. I don't think the two can coexist because once I installed PC Wizard I couldn't access my temperature readings on the Intel one.

I was just going to say I wasn't seeing my temp readings in the corner of my screen but they just showed up, as well as the PC Wizard icon in my taskbar.

I've been using this software for sometime and find it very useful when doing anti-virus and Malware scans. These tend to heat up the CPU and by running this program I can cool it down and get the scans done quickly.

This is also good troubleshooting software if you think overheating is a problem on your PC.

I do not use its "clock" tab feature. This feature need an automatic motherboard detection method and until it does I will not risk my PC to run it.

Still very good software for the purposed I described above. I would recommend it. I am not affiliated with this company in anyway, other then I run there software. This is not an ad.

Good fan monitoring software is hard to find but necessary.
