My Outlook won't send email from my home wireless connection

I use Outlook at my office by plugging into our T1 line and everything works fine. However, when I am at home (wireless connection), I can receive messages but can't send messages. My email account is a POP account. I am pretty tech incompetent, so please let me know if more information is needed.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

System Info: Windows XP/Outlook 2007/T1 line (office connection)/Wireless router (home connection)/AVG virus protection

It may never work if your company runs its own SMTP server, which is pretty likely. Odds are if your IT people are worth their paychecks they've firewalled off that server from accepting connections from outside the company network.

You can try asking the IT people at your office if there's anything you can do, but don't be surprised if they say no.

Thanks for the feedback. We don't run our own server and a co-worker can send email from his home wireless account. I wish I could ask our IT dept but we're a small firm (3 people). thanks for your help.
