touch pad doesn't work.

I'm using a mouse but would rather not. I downloaded and installed driver for this del laptop. WindowsXP Worked fine, then didn't. Sometimes after startup it works for awhile. When I pull up up devices it shows mouse working. No mention of touchpad. Where else can I look?

Went there. It was turned on, so I turned it off and on a couple of times. Now it works. Might do it again, but I'll know what to do. Thank you.
