It might be in your add/remove list, but is it still present on your machine? Try a site you know to have flash and view it in your browser(s).
If it's gone, and the only remnant is the entry in this list, you can remove that from regedit. Or just let it be.

It's what Windows uses to display the list you mention. Can you tell (exactly and detailed) how you did this, and how far you came?

If you really can't find it, just let it sit there and don't mind. You say the software is removed, and that's what matters.

By the way, can you tell why you want flash removed? I find more and more sites, where you really need flash to use them. I use Flashblock in Firefox, so I can such an applet when needed, and just see an arrow normally. That's a rather good compromise between ease of use and download speed.

If it's a Windows operating system, it should have the registry key indicated.. Once you get to the "Uninstall" key, click on the + sign and you'll see a number of listings. ON this XP PRO computer, then Flash entry is at the path below:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Adobe Flash Player ActiveX

Anyway, that person must have both fixed it and forgot about Cnet's Forums ever since and, got itself a way better machine since 2007. Almost 4 years ago(by June of this year-2011).
