MSN outlook express mail

About a week ago I clicked my incoming mail box basicaly it took about 3 minutes to open .When it did it was froze nothing would work on computer.Using ctrl-alt-deleat opened things no way connected to MSN and also would not shut down . To shut down i needed to use the reset and go through that process.After computer was back on line I had no problems getting any program to operate. Internet worked fine . I have 4 different anti-viruses and a firewall installed.None of my anti-virus has found any viruses. I have high speed cable axcess through Road Runner. I have also restored my computer back to operating date that were OK and no help there Oh yes i have Windows ME. Any suggestions thanks in advance DevilDude

Today's new email threats execute even if you don't open the email. Just VIEWING or PREVIEWING the email can cause a large amount of damage.

Since there is no sign Microsoft will be fixing this issue, we have to set the PREVIEW of email to its disabled setting and never view or preview any email that we are not expecting.

To recover from this, you can check in at the Security Forum about use of Adaware, Spybot, Cwshredder, Housecall and how to use LSPFIX if your internet connection fails.

Addendum. Not a virus. Can be pest, parasite, trojan, other.
