keyboard typing problems

I have just gotten a Microsoft [un]Natural keyboard. My old fingers don't work so well, so I sometimes, well, often, slightly miss-hit when I am typing. When I do that, strange things happen. I might get all sorts of screens pop up that I have to get rid of before continuing my typing. It might be the Edit menu, or the Filed menu, or the Find screen, a graph, etc. Sometimes, the screen I am typing on will just disappear and I have to start all over again. (I was typing a message in the dratted AOL technical help screen, and it just disappeared when I slightly miss-hit. The same thing has occurred when I have been typing a hotmail letter or a post in some forum.) Very often, even though the cursor remains where it was and is supposed to be, I can't resume typing until I click it. Is this just something I have to put up with or is there any way to eliminate or reduce the problem short of getting a younger set of fingers? Thanks, Jerry
