Blue Screen of Death

My DVD drive had been working well UNTIL recently when I installed iTunes for my iPod Mini. Now, whenever, I try to play a DVD, I get the "blue screen of death"!!! Has anyone come across this problem and is there a very simple solution? Other than get rid of iTunes and the iPod?
Help anyone?

Playing a DVD is not native Windows. I suggest you start with reinstalling the DVD-playing program. If you're lucky, both that program and iTunes work. If you're unlucky, post again with more details.

Scan it for spyware or viruses or any other crap like that. My mom had to do a restore just because she downloaded Wal-Mart Music Downloader.

itunes and ipod just got sunk

Try uninstalling Itunes completely and quicktime also. Then restart try playing a DVD if it works then great. but you dont have to throw out your ipod or sell it you can download Winamp and the IPOD plug-in at

I bought my ipod to work with itunes not so that I can use winamp. Apple must fix this....
