Iomega 4mb/s PNP controller drivers?

I don't know what that is, but my system needs updated drivers for it. I searched the net and didn't find anything that would help. I wouldn't worry normally, but I think pnp stands for plug and play and I noticed that since this stopped detecting its drivers, I've been having trouble recognizing my video cards, etc. I searched some driver places, like driverguide, and can't find any drivers listed with this name or for the iomega company. I also checked out the iomega site. No help. Anyone else have this listed in their device manager and if so, what did it come from and where could I get updated drivers? Thanks!

Didn't you also have the tape drive issue?

Maybe the prior user of the system also had a IOMEGA drive for backup or similar purposes.

Tapes can provide for huge backups [in some models], The IOMEGA somewhat less, but now I think most people have gone to CD or DVD burners for that purpose.

If you don't use it, you could open the case and just unplug it so it doesn't get detected anymore....disconnect the gray cable from the motherboard if the device is on the cable by itself...otherwise disconnect the gray cable from the back of the device and also disconnect the power plug from it. If the device is connected with another device on the same cable, you may or may not have to rejumper the remaining device depending on whether it's a cdrom type or a harddrive type.
