Too many ifs, ands, or buts, so seller/buyer beware is still the case. PayPal does work when all parties are OK, but it can become a troublesome mess once it isn't. PayPal protects itself 100% and funds can and will be frozen until cleared-up but that is very time consuming and just not what a seller/buyer doesn't wants or do they?. While I agree with parties are OK and arrangements are made, here you have difficulties arising because the nature of online sales and the real people seen aren't even known to each other, it becomes too much. A "red flag" should be imposed whenever things become complicated and the higher the value the more buyer AND! seller should understand how PayPal works and be ready when it doesn't. Of course, I exclude any actual conditions of the item(s) value or use intended after sale. Both seller and buyer need to be comfortable with the sale, if not step away.
