Audio from computer to tv help

Hi,

I just bought a 55in LG LED tv: 55ls4500. I'm using an HDMI cable to connect it to my computer but am not getting any audio. I've been to the playback settings and it is not detecting the tv's audio device. Does someone know what I'm supposed to do?

You may have to run analog audio since there is no details I see to suggest otherwise.

I first had to update the video driver, and then set HDMI as the default output device for sound.

But it might very well be different with your (undisclosed) PC or laptop or Mac.
