Manage updates with the Download App
Recently, when I open files from websites on the net they appear on the monitor as half screen size. How do I change settings so files open as full page on my monitor?
I'm running Win7 Ultimate 64 bit, DFI Lanparty Dk, Intel Q9550, GEForce 8500GT, Muskin Ram (4 GB)
Appreciate any help I can get.

You can drag the edges or corners of windows until they are the size you want. Or if you want them full screen, just click the "Maximise" button top right of any window.

Mark: Thanks for your reply. I am aware that I can drag the edges or click on the "Maximize" icon But that's a real pain because I must first wait for the content to be downloaded and that's a pain.
I guess I'm wondering why this problem began in the first place. Oh, BTW, I've noticed that when the problem with size began and I copy and paste the article for an email, I also began receiving messages that "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and is shutting down". Then I have to return to the website and download the page again. Do you think there's a connection between the two? Any suggestions?

there are ways to 'set the size' of the window so it always opens that size.
Kee's link should show how to do that for you.
I am not at all sure the "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem" is anything to do with resizing. In general, many problems IE experiences can be traced back to bad or corrupted add-ons, so you could try looking through IE's Add-ons and seeing if disabling any correct that issue.

It's a difficult to rather difficult to understand question, due to terms you use.
In a browser you don't open files, you go to a url. And that can opens in the same tab in your browser, or in a new tab in your browser, or in a new browser window (depending on a few factors).
If you're not happy with the size of new Internet Explorer window, you tell Internet Explorer the size to use in the future. http://blog.chron.com/helpline/2006/05/how-to-set-internet-explorer-window-size/ says how.

Thank you Kees and Mark for your replies. Yeah, I'm kind of a dummy by using the terms I use. Couldn't think of how to try to explain it better. However, problem is solved. I found a small app on MajorGeeks that takes care of the size problem. Now browser windows (using your term) open as full screen instead of being squished.
Thanks to all of you for your assistance. It is very nice that you take the time to help those who are less knowledgable.
