Re-occuring crashes

by standeb - 3/15/12 10:07 PM

Hello All,

I had a clean installation of my XP SP3 O/S recently done on my desktop. I do not know how to sent my system information to you because my system keeps constantly crashing whenever I access a web page on the internet. I am using a laptop to write this post.

subsequent to the said installation I connected my Seagate Free Agent external drive to the desktop but it refused to function. I tried autoplay but the system crahsed. Thereafter I today turned on my webcam and in so doing the system crashed and now it keeps crashing every time I access a web page. If I am not using the web nothing happens.

I have been getting a blue screen, "Windows has shut down to protect your computer etc. I reboot, send error report to microsoft. I am advised that the report is corrupted. I am directed to things to try. I have scanned for viruses. Did disc checks and have tried to follow directions given me but to no avail. It has been suggested that the problem may be with my video adapter or hardware and/or software problems.

In the mean time I shall be happy if I could be advised as to how to get the system and blue screen info to you so you can assist me with the problem.

I am very weary of the techies here. They never finish their work properly and blead you.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you.
