browser not currently supported

On Windows 7, product name HP p6540f, I get the following message each time I go on the net "Sorry you are trying to use Google calendar with a browser that isn't currently supported. Press OK to view a read only version of your calendar. Press cancel to continue loading Google calendar and hope for the best. OK Cancel" Pressing Cancel goes direct to the calendar, how do I cancel this annoying pop up that has poped up in the last 2 weeks but never before. Computer is 1 1/2 yrs. old.

What browser are you using?

You should check to see which are supported but sometimes a browser update will do this until the site catches up with the newer version.

Windows 7, IE9

Tools > Compatability View Settings > remove google.com.

I don't even know why it was put in there to begin with....but I think HP does it by default.

Stupid....

But I don't get the error anymore.

You apparently helped a few other people with this problem: Sorry, you are trying to use Google Calendar with a browser that isn't currently supported. I go into Tools, Compatibility View, but it will not let me remove anything. Any suggestion? Also, another issue: This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. This occurs any time I click on a link within an email or on a web page. Any suggetions? Thanks in advance.

IE v Chrome

I've been reading some other threads that suggest downloading and switching to Chrome and setting as default, then going back and resetting default to IE can possibly help. I've used Chrome in the past, but had problems with it and ended up going back to IE. Maybe I'll try that.
