No details so let's start by asking if it has been getting it's yearly cleaning.

There is also some pests, malware that could be at play but you didn't write if you had just cleaned off some malware.

ok- more detail, i did a disk clean-up in tools, and also deframention, now the laptop runs good basically without any issues,but when i plug in the ethernet, i can get on the web, staying there isnt a problem- just getting a virus software on is- no idea why it just shuts off, im not even getting an error message
Still so little to work with.

There's a lot of issues with machines that get zero maintenance. Laptops I fear get none as folk are not told that they need at least a yearly blast of canned air.
For those that want to remain away from hardware maintenance that's a good sign for new laptop sales.
