Computer newbies forum: question on free trial games

Anything left behind after normal uninstall processes (which might include you're needing to manually remove folders and files as well) won't be of significance and should not affect your machine's performance..unless you've possibly downloaded some rogue application, of course. Developers who offer free trials know that people will try to just uninstall and then reinstall software to gain additional time and will write code to thwart this sort of activity. There are other ways of software testing that allow you to do as you wish, however. One would be to use another machine dedicated to that activity and the other would be to image your system prior to any new software installation and then restore that image later. This isn't without risk, however. Good luck.

Those left overs are to block you from using it again. Remember that agreement you clicked that usually says ........ one copy, nontransferable.
