Lost picture help

I took a really great picture on my digital camera which I uploaded to my document/picture files, I set it as my wallpaper then somehow I deleted it from my cameras scan disc and my files and now I only have it as background wallpaper on my start up page, is there any way I can find this temp file to save this picture to my documents again, I've tried looking everywhere and I'm afraid that I'll make it disappear forever someway...Thanks for your help!

It still should be somewhere on your hard disk. Search for *.jpg or *.bmp using the search in My Computer.

On Windows XP, Check This Location

....for Windows XP, look for files named either "InternetExplorerWallpaper.bmp" or "Wallpaper1.bmp" in the C:\Documents and settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft folder. If the file is there, RIGHT click on the file, choose "Copy", then save the copy to a different location, like your "My Pictures" folder.. Once there, open the file and make sure it's the picture of your choice.

I found an easy way to save the picture from my desk top..On my desk top I right clicked and chose "hide icons" then I had a clear picture that I wanted to save...Then I pressed Ctrl and print screen, then I opened it with paint and saved it as a jpeg image and it came out perfect, thanks for your help but I couldn't find it those ways you suggested!
